Marlborough Artists' Society

Marlborough Artists was founded in 1949; It is run by members for members. The committee and organisers are all volunteers.

The primary function of the society is to exhibit the work of its membership which includes both amateur and professional artists, working in all media, including photography, ceramics, and glass, and who live in and around
Marlborough.

There are currently two exhibitions each year; the Annual Exhibition held in Marlborough normally over the second weekend of May, in support of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and further less formal exhibitions held in Avebury at other times of the year.

Artists who wish to join the society are asked to submit a selection of work for review by a Submissions Panel to ensure that the standard of exhibited work remains consistent.  Any artist living within approximately 25 miles of Marlborough is welcome to apply.

Marlborough Artists was founded in 1949 and has held an Annual Exhibition in Marlborough since that time.  It now holds additional informal exhibitions in Avebury.

If you would like to join and exhibit with us, we ask that you submit a minimum of 3 pieces of art for assessment.  These may be paintings, sculptures, prints, glass, pottery or designs in any medium.

A condition of membership is that members are required to live within a distance of Marlborough that permits them to take an active part in membership and are available to assist with exhibitions.
