Marlborough Artists Support Homeless Charity
Marlborough Artists, as part of their highly successful 70th birthday celebration year, are donating art to an Art Appeal in aid of the Homeless at Christmas.
Christmas Care, a charity entirely run by volunteers, is holding an Art Exhibition of donated work in The Beehive pub in Swindon from the 3rd - 14 November. All money raised will be used to give shelter, hot food and care to homeless, vulnerable and lonely people in the Swindon area.
Our artists are donating their work on Friday 1st November at the start of their 2 day pre-Christmas show in the old school, now the Social Centre, in Avebury amongst Wiltshire’s ancient stones.
Marlborough Artists is a group of artists living within approximately 15 miles of Marlborough, Wiltshire. The group includes fine amateur and professional artists working in every medium, cutting edge photographers and artists working in textiles, glass and clay. They hold a well supported exhibition in Marlborough Town Hall each May (22-25 May 2020) and one or two further “pop-up” shows in Avebury where anyone is welcome to pop in and purchase items to take away.
They have exhibited every year since 1949 and are a totally self run and supported group.
