I paint chiefly in Watercolour or in Acrylics and more recently in Mixed Media. Painting outside ‘en plein air’ is an important part of my current practice. My work does not seek total precision but rather an evocative representation of the outside world. Wiltshire landscapes and buildings are a constant source of inspiration, but foreign climes, including France and Italy, also feature.
In 2006 my watercolour painting of the Ca D’Oro in Venice was a prizewinner in the national Patchings Art Competition organised by The Artist and Leisure Painter Magazine group.
I am an elected member of Calne Artists and Marlborough Artists and exhibit widely from Newbury in the east to Bristol in the west.
A selection of my recent work can always be viewed at the Handel House Gallery in Devizes, on the corner of Sidmouth Street and Sheep Street.
