I have been preoccupied with painting since 2012. From then I have been experimenting with different media and techniques. My artwork is generally impressionist inspired, loose , lively and colourful. Painting plein air or from my own photos, my subjects are varied. I enjoy using negative shapes, light in all its’ forms, reflections and some ambiguity in my works. Texture, runs, splatters are frequently employed. I thoroughly enjoy playing with paint.
Having been in nursing for 40 years I am embracing this new career.
I have exhibited at The RUH Bath twice, been selected for open exhibitions with The Pound Arts, Oexmann, Trowbridge Town Hall and Swindon Art Gallery and museum.
I have had paintings printed in The National Trust Magazine twice and The Gallery Magazine.
Lately I have been giving tuition, workshops and demonstrations.
