With limited formal training, Jane is largely self taught and by observing other artists and undertaking selective training, she has developed and extended her skills to emerge as an imaginative and able artist. Initially using conventional media to produce traditional work, she has now evolved a more abstract approach using a new range of media to strengthen the formal aspects of her images. Her evolving use of new media has allowed her to develop a distinctive style of her own and the work she exhibits demonstrates her broad scope. Jane has more recently added printmaking to her skill set, and would now describe herself as a mixed media artist.
Jane is a member of ‘Marlborough Artists’ and ‘The Guild of Wiltshire Artists’, and also exhibits at the John Bowen Gallery, Malmesbury with 'Hook Artists' and 'The Artzeit Group'
Her studio is open over four weekends each July, as part of the ‘Marlborough Open Studios Art Trail’.
