Having studied French and Economics at university, I spent the next 35 years working for multinational corporations (mostly pharmaceuticals), living in Belgium, Sweden and Germany, then returning to the UK.
I retired three years ago and at last I am able to indulge in my love of painting – something I was never previously able to do because of lack of time. Having started late in life, with no formal training, I am working on developing my own recognisable style, and work primarily in pastels and watercolours. I tend to enjoy painting the environment I see around me – flowers in my garden, the countryside of Wiltshire and scenes of Brittany with its wild coastline where my part of my family originated.
